Carl got vulnerable and shared his heart, and his story is so beautiful! ??
“As a 34yr old single Dad to 3 & 5 year old little girls (Sofia & Mia), as the COO of a software company, and as a board member of the Philadelphia Veterans Comfort House - I’ll be honest,

life got away from me, my health & fitness got away from me. Why is this so important? Men carry a lot of stress that we never talk about.

As Father’s we are often the symbol of strength to our children while buryin
g our own struggles deep inside of ourselves.

I’m 45 days into a personal reset, a 100 day reset that I’ve committed to. I love being a source of confidence and inspiration but I hate this post because I hate admitting where I was 45 days ago.

I hate this post because of how necessary and important it is.
The truth is men are four times more likely to commit suicide than women, with social isolation being the top cause.

Depression amongst men is directly correlated to low testosterone levels, which impacts ones drive for overall fitness, thus impacting their health.

And, the worst part is that men are four times less likely to ever talk about their depression and/or anxiety than women.

So why do I share all of this? Because one 30-45-60 day commitment to overall health and welfare could quite literally save the life of a man in your life.

Because the truth is, you would probably never know the struggle within that they’re battling.

The odds are stacked against most men to ever share the voice deep inside themselves, and they are silently either seeking an outlet in alcohol, drugs, infidelity, etc... or an outlet in health and fitness.

I’ve always been athlete so the choice was easy for me, but the more I share my journey the more ppl have silently reached out, shared their story, or have opened when they may not have otherwise.

I’m so grateful Chelsea L pushed me to be vulnerable and public about my journey because it’s not about me at all.

I knew my outlet was always the gym. I never knew how many other men were seeking an outlet that they never voiced.
